Behavioral Health Community Needs Assessment
These slides, presented to the Healthy and Safe Envision Athens teams on April 14th, 2021, focus on the results of our Behavioral Health Community Needs Assessment. This survey uniquely focused upon regional behavioral health provider-side challenges and needs in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Point-in-Time (PIT) count is a count of sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons on a single night in January. PIT counts are important because they establish the dimensions of the problem of homelessness and help policymakers and program administrators track progress toward the goal of ending homelessness.
More than 300 self-identified Hispanic/Latinx adults 18 years or older and residing in ACC completed a confidential survey focused on their access to healthcare, education, public transportation, government-issued benefits (i.e., Medicaid and food stamps), language services, and legal/immigration aid.
